Usually the ducting and ceiling grilles can be re used but a free site inspection will be carried out before the installation to confirm the condition of the ducting.
The electrical cables will be checked and reused where possible.
The existing return air grille and box ( usually in the passage or hallway ) will be removed and used as an access hole into the roof space.
The fan coil ( air handling unit ) will be removed from the roof space.
The new air handling unit will be positioned in the roof space and connected to the existing duct. There may be some new pieces of ducting required ( no extra cost ).
The existing zone system will be re connected and checked. If a zone motor is faulty it will be replace on the same day as the installation to keep the cost to a minimum.
The existing return air grille will be re fixed in the hallway.
The existing air filter will be checked and replaced if required ( no cost ) .
The outdoor unit will be replaced and the new unit connected.
The existing units will be safely disposed of.
The new condenser unit will be fitted on plastic feet to allow access under the machine.
The new system will be commissioned. The air flow and zones will be checked.
